EVEN MORE SNOW ON TOUBKAL MASSIF

Yet more unsettled weather is on the move over the country as we write this. Severe flooding in the north of the country, non-stop rain further south has meant heavy snowfall across the entire Moroccan High Atlas Mountains. The snowline is well down e.g. to Imlil 1740 below Toubkal. So if you plan on coming, be prepared for a lot of snow, possible avalanche conditions and zero mule support.

Even getting up to the refuges below Toubkal has proved impossible over the past couple of days......
