AIRLINES IN
DISARRAY OVER MOROCCAN DAYLIGHT SAVINGS

Well further
to our earlier item about Moroccan
daylight savings time end date being brought forward by some 27
days to the 1st Sept, it seems that some airlines are keeping hold
of the extra hour whilst others have changed their schedule to match
the earlier time set by the Moroccan authorities.
It seems the
Moroccan airlines such as Royal Air Maroc, Atlas-Blue and the
private carrier Jet 4 You will advise their customers that they are
arriving in effect one hour "late". However others such as
the charter airline Thomson Fly have already written to their
customers advising them they are arriving one hour
"early".
Our advice in
the midst of all this confusion it to check with your airline as to
their local arrival time and then hope that the person who is
meeting you in Morocco has changed their clocks to reflect this -
the month of Ramadan notwithstanding.
